Crossing the Silly Bridge is the tale of how I got from 'there' to here. It was the first step I took in creating my own story, rather than the story others wanted me to tell. Too often, we find ourselves surrounded by a bubble of success. And we become trapped by it. In my new work, we talk about transforming the leaders who are transforming the planet. Crossing the Silly Bridge is about how I transformed myself, first. How I got the courage to leave what I knew, to start something new. I wrote this book for people who want to lead themselves, and to lead others. It's a small book. Tiny, really. It doesn't take a lot to say what we mean, when we mean what we say.

I finally ordered this "book" after months of it sitting on my wish list. It arrived in a tiny envelope and I thought, "Oh, how nice. She's sent me a little promo about her program since I ordered her book." I didn't realize THIS was the book until days later I checked my Amazon account to see when the real book would arrive. It is a charming story about a city slicker's discovery of the heart of horses, but this is more of a nice piece of copywriting rather than a real book. I have been a horsewoman for 25 years and am at a turning point in my career. I thought this book might give me some direction or inspiration. It was a nice read while I waited to go in for a dentist appointment. But it left me disappointed and annoyed. And it definitely turned me off to looking more into her experiential horse program.
I worked in marketing and advertising for years and this is the kind of thing we would put together for clients as a marketing piece. This was essentially an advertisement for her horse/leadership program, which I still have no clear idea what it is like, since the book isn't about that. So, I guess it's really not even very good marketing.
Very misleading. I am surprised she could get an ISBN # for this.

Crossing The Silly Bridge Lisa Arie 9780615414881 Books Reviews
I find Lisa Arie's sharing of how her spiritual journey began as described in her book, Crossing The Silly Bridge, to be concise, refreshingly vulnerable, and delightfully honest. It was poingnently esoteric as spiritual things can appear to be by those consumed with achieving things on the material level. However, for those of us who have discovered "the path" and who have commmited ourselves to "the journey", it's a unique story that in some very real way is familar to those on that journey.
I got my copy elsewhere but want to write about the powerful content. Lisa Arie's style is simple yet very elegant. The insights here are significant; they make you stop and think about your life. This is a quick read but you'll remember this book for a long time.
I finally got to read your book and loved it! I laughed, cried and really enjoyed learning a bit about your journey. I love that you can tell your story with such humor and chuckled my way through “watching” you chasing “your” horse around the paddock. To go from that to being “at liberty” is an incredible gift.
I so enjoyed this "little book"
It is so easy to read and as a result one of the easiest books to share with friends !!!
We have all loved it -
It is funny , moving and very motivational !
We can all hope will be lucky enough to be chosen by a horse !
I don't usually comment negatively on books, however, I felt this was misleading. What my idea of a book is and what I received in the mail are two entirely different things. It is about the size of a CD and comes in an envelope. The 'book' is 26 pages long and has large font. I read it in 12 minutes.
I did enjoy the content, though, it was more of a teaser than anything and was clearly not a BOOK. More of a pamphlet. I do not believe I
got my money's worth and I do not feel it is being advertised appropriately as a BOOK.
This is a sweet, profound story written with passion. It's about a New York woman who finds herself suddenly in love with a horse. In the process, she re-evaluates her way of life and finds a new direction.
When I first picked up Lisa's book to read, I thought to myself "this books seems too small to deliver much value", but, man, was I wrong. I have never gotten so much out of so few words as I have with Crossing the Silly Bridge. Lisa Arie is a master storyteller.
